Before launching OKIMAW TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING, we were IT professionals navigating the industry firsthand. Our experiences with consulting firms and service providers, especially in Indigenous territories, often led to disappointment. As job seekers and consultants, we frequently felt stuck between the firms' agendas and the employers' expectations. Recruiters seemed more interested in fulfilling their own quotas than genuinely helping us. If we were deemed unemployable or caught in the web of stereotypes, the calls and emails simply stopped. This frustrating cycle repeated itself with numerous firms and service providers. It was then that we began to envision something better—a consulting firm that treated professionals with respect and genuine interest. We wanted to create a service provider that took every client seriously and offered the same level of service to those in remote areas as those in big cities. We imagined a place where job seekers were considered clients, and every client received importance regardless of their location. Fueled by our deep desire to create a better environment for IT recruitment and services, we launched OKIMAW TECHNOLOGY CONSULTING.
